wine is a team sport
Greetings and salutations fellow wine-lovers!
If you’ve had a chance to check out my bio, you know that I’m a relative baby in the wine world. Yes, I still remember what it was like bumbling around a wine shop attempting to select a satisfying bottle. But my absolute fascination with the stuff is something I now contend with just about 24-7 these days. 
The fact that each vintage (nay, bottle?) produces different results, technology is always improving and techniques are always evolving means I’ll never be satiated, either. Yippee!
Join me on my wine journey! As I host tasting events and continue in my role at my local wine shop, I’ll be posting various tidbits, a-ha moments, fun facts and, I hope, useful tips and analogies to make wine (additionally) accessible for you and your friends. I encourage you to share your own musings and experiences, too. Wine appreciation is always at its greatest when sipping is considered a “team” sport!

Awesome job Miss Pour Favor!! It was hard for me not to catch the wine bug living a stones throw from Sonoma and Napa! But it wasn’t until I moved out to Boston that I realized there’s a whole world of wine to explore!
Can’t wait to see what else is on your plate!

Having just had two glasses of Chardonnay, I have to thank Miss Pour Favor (i.e. Rebecca) for indroducing me to the world of white wine and also expanding my horizons on the different reds! I am looking forward to the next bottle you recommend!
The site looks great and I can’t wait to tune into the blog to read about your musings.

Wonderful site. I need help with my wine selections and probably will need to keep a wine notebook on the ones I try and serve. You are a great resource. Happy tasting!

I’ve always loved wine, but I first started loving it when I accidentally fell in with a family of winemakers just north of Greve in Chianti, Italy. It was there at Castello di Verrazzano, tasting Sangiovese and Vino Santo underneath lemon trees among grazing wild boar, that I really came to appreciate the craftsmanship that goes into making great wine.

Wine is a team sport because half of the fun is the colorful analytics that go on around the table whenever a bottle is uncorked. The other half is the warmth and enjoyment that always accompanies a glass (or two) of the good stuff. Wine is one of life’s simple pleasures…
