My wife and I are huge fans of Pineau des Charentes (particularly aged white) and while it is considered by many younger French as a passe, old-timers drink; it is becoming a new fashion in the US. We would highly recommend the Chateau de Beaulon 10 year Reserve ($35-45). The combination of bright fruitiness, caramel, oak and complex overtones of harvested cornucopia is simultaneously a thrill, elegant, and sumptuously long in finish. Enjoy!
