Hi Mike,

I just saw your comment regarding the Coca i Fito wine from Montsant. A friend forwarded me the link. I'm the wine producer and you had the chance to taste the first bottle arrived to the US.

The wine is not in the market yet, in few months will be there, you should contact the importer www.theartisancollection.us to know when in will be released in the the US.

I don't know yet the final price in the US, but it will be more expensive than the 'Etim' commented by Rebecca. I like the Etim wine, but it is a young wine, Coca i Fito is produced with old vines of low production, also the traditional techniques used to produce the Coca i Fito wine are a bit more complex and the vineyard is organic. Our production in vintage 2006 has been 5.000 bottles.

If you need more information about this wine, please do not hesitate to contact me by e-mail: info@cellarwines.eu

Best regards and thank you very much for your comments.

Mike,

Any idea what your find should retail for? (The Etim comes in around $15.)

Strange coincidence -- I just got back from a Spanish importer's tasting, and one of the wines of the show, shining out amongst the pricier wines from Rioja, Ribera del Duero, and Priorat was an absolutely gorgeous Montsant from a winery called Coca I Fito. The wine was as fun as it is to say, and distinctly Spanish.
