Comments on: can (good) red wine settle an upset stomach?

I’m a believer. I have been violently ill with a stomach ache, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain for nearly five hours. Tried to eat, and everything came right back up. Poured a glass of Chianti [approx 150 ml] and 15 min later, my stomach is almost back to normal. Anecdotal, but I thought I’d share.

Es verdad si como muy tarde mi solucion para no tener malestares estomacales el beber un poco de vino o unas varias copas y al otro dia santo remedio, mi despertar es hasta sin hinchazon estomacal es como magico.

hi i have so much pain in my stomach heart burn and pain pain. i tried pariot and found out it wasn’t the best thing so i read somewhere in the bible where it states a little wine for the stomach’s sake like Dana had mentioned above and so I bought organic merlot cabernet sauvignon and was expecting maybe it would make my stomach worst because everyone said its a acid don’t drink wine but instead i thought to myself, if the bible says it must be truthful. well i had 1/4 of a cup and my pain diminished by 85 % i just couldn’t believe it. I hate to sound like a wino, but i hope it heals my stomach.
