My wine journey began more than a decade ago when I was a fledgling college Junior perplexed with the nearing onset of Real Life. I dabbled with the idea of going into the hospitality industry – a career thought inspired by my incredible love of food and happy memories at the helm of a small, seaside restaurant for many a college summer. Meanwhile, my brother and sister-in-law were in the throes of their own wine learning curve, nay, obsession; an enthusiastic pupil, I began canvassing the Philadelphia area for quality (student-budget) wines. Still, I was too new to wine and too unsure which niche I’d fill in the hospitality realm to “commit” my career to it. I took a different path out of the gates.

Ten years later I was ready to pursue my passion for wine full time. My chutzpah, dedicated, personal wine study and experience wearing myriad hats working in the nonprofit sector gave me the courage to dive head first into the wine industry. And so it is that I provide a different but no less important service to the community: demystifying wine! I am the associate buyer at a local wine shop, a member of the Boston Sommelier Society and have my own tasting company.

For me it is all about the love of wine. I strive to answer the little and the bigger questions about wine so that you – the taster – have a greater context from which to sample and appreciate a glass (or bottle) of the red, white, pink and/or bubbly. Whether you are new(er) to wine, have been tasting longer than I have or are a server, caterer, or other industry professional, thank you for tuning in and bantering with me.
